Pair of Neoclassical Nightstands with Marble Tops

A masculine pair of Neoclassical nightstands or side tables by Baker Furniture! Clean lined silhouettes, with sculptured columns, marble tops, and aged brass accents. These vintage Baker chests were customized exclusively for THE TASTEMAKER SHOPPE. A soft white, matte-paint & lime wax finish was applied to the drawer fronts. They feel fresh & more modern having a sleeker, solid, bright colored contrast between the wood-stained frames & newly painted drawers. The lime wax-finish gives the paint a subtle movement, it's soft and elegant. Marble tops are polished Nero Marquina, from a region in Spain (tops are not attached, they rest on top) The lower drawer is recessed, with Baker’s signature label inside. The top-drawer finger pull is underneath. These chests were most likely part of Baker’s Palladian Collection, I have not seen another pair like them. They are perfect for tighter spaces, tall but not too deep or wide. They have great European style, made in America. Original, authentic pieces like this are getting harder and harder to find! As a Curator and Interior Designer, these are the timeless qualities I seek – knowing it will transcend time, always in style, never trendy. A treasured find for collectors and enthusiasts of unique and one-of-a-kind pieces.
