Charming, European-style, iron fireplace grate with a hammered texture. Hand-forged, this solid heavy-duty grate has tapered legs with soft scrolls, formed, and bent into shape by a blacksmith. The side rails look like old iron straps held by chunky Spanish Clavos (nail heads), more than structural railings. Its rustic, yet refined craftsmanship pulls you in, the more you look, the more there is to love and appreciate. Believed to date back to the late 1800s, it brings authentic, old-school elegance to your fireplace (or fire pit). Ideal and suitable for both indoor & outdoor fireplaces. It was most likely hand-made in Italy or France. Meticulous detailing and craftsmanship make it a rare find for collectors and enthusiasts of unique and one-of-a-kind pieces.
